The Off-Road Pro engineering package includes a two-speed transfer case which allows you to switch between an on-road and an off-road ratio. The off-road mode’s low-range gear has a shorter ratio, meaning superior tractive power, particularly when tackling steep slopes or pulling heavy loads. The AIRMATIC air suspension that comes as standard offers a choice of three ride levels, allowing you to adjust the ground clearance of your GL to suit your requirements, while the firmness of the suspension can be varied between comfortable and sporty by means of the Adaptive Damping System, ADS. Fording depth can be increased to as much as 600 mm, while a stainless steel sump shield protects the GL when driving on rugged terrain.
