2011-10 Aer Lingus Remembers Iolar with Vito

A Mercedes-Benz Vito Mixto Crew Cab wrapped in Aer Lingus livery to celebrate the first flight of the Iolar, Aer Lingus’ first passenger plane, will soon become a familiar sight on roads around Ireland, UK and Europe.

Supplied by MUTEC Mercedes-Benz, converted by Paramount of Tullamore and with a passenger capacity equal to the Iolar, the unit was purchased by Aer Lingus as part of celebrations to mark their 75th anniversary.

It will be used to transport officials to air shows around Ireland, the UK and Europe at which the Iolar – which took its first flight in 1936 from Dublin to Bristol – will be a main attraction.
