Leading Irish logistics company Dungarvan Transport has made significant further additions to its stable of Mercedes-Benz trucks with the order of up to 15 new Actros tractor units.
When delivered, this latest acquisition will bring Mercedes-Benz Actros representation to more than 50% of the Waterford firm’s fleet. All 15 Actros 2548 models will come with Streamspace 2.3 metres cabs and 6x2 tractor units.
To be supplied by Mercedes-Benz commercial dealer Surehaul of Clonmel, of which Dungarvan Transport is a long-standing customer, the new trucks will be delivered factory wrapped in the company’s distinctive blue livery – soon to be seen on Irish roads.
A second generation family owned and run indigenous firm, Dungarvan Transport has been at the forefront of Irish and international haulage for over 30 years, specialising in three sectors of the market; wood transport, agri-products and pharmaceuticals. Members of both the Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA) and Freight Transport Association Ireland (FTAI), the company serves both an Irish and international client base.
