AES Bord na Móna, one of Ireland’s leading waste management companies, has taken delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Econic 2630L truck to compliment the existing number of units currently on their fleet.
Finished in the company’s distinctive sky-blue livery, the new Econic is the second of its type ordered by the company in the past 12 months and is soon to be a familiar sight on roads throughout Leinster.
Ideally suited to the needs of waste collection operations, where workers are regularly climbing in and out of the vehicle, the Econic features a low entry cab with a pneumatic folding passenger door which can be opened with the touch of a button. Inside, the cab comes fitted with seating for a driver and three passengers and is finished with panorama glazing to maximise visability.
Fitted with a Heil Faird 23 cubic meter body from Logic Fleet Management, the refuse vehicle is also equipped with a Moba dynamic weighing system. The Econic is powered by a 300hp Euro 6 engine, equipped with Allison automatic transmission and features full air suspension on all axles.
As part of the Bord na Móna group, AES are committed to providing their customers, both domestic and commercial, with the best waste management and resource recovery service throughout Ireland. AES aim to continually innovate and handle waste in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
