BlueEFFICIENCY - an example of efficiency.

The Sprinter is the economical option.

Low consumption figures.

One of the most sustainable vehicles in its class, the Sprinter shines with low emission and fuel consumption figures thanks to systematically evolved engines [1] and innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology. The optional BlueEFFICIENCY package Plus[2] [3] can reduce the fuel consumption as far as 6.3 l per 100 km[4].

  • ECO Start/Stop function
  • ECO power steering pump
  • Fuel economy alternator
  • New generation of electrically controlled fuel pumps
  • Tyres with optimised rolling resistance

BlueEFFICIENCY measures are available in three configurations:

  • Standard BlueEFFICIENCY measures with enhanced scopes enable compliance with the Euro 6/VI emissions standard paired with low consumption.
  • The BlueEFFICIENCY package featuring elements including the ECO Start/Stop function cuts consumption by up to 0.5 l/100 km compared with engines that do not feature the BlueEFFICIENCY package.
  • BlueEFFICIENCY package Plus, featuring elements such as a greater rear-axle ratio and an electrical radiator fan in addition to BlueEFFICIENCY package features, generates additional fuel savings of up to 1.1 l/100 km compared with engines that do not feature the BlueEFFICIENCY package.

[1] Engines in compliance with the Euro VI emission standard are listed in "Technical data & equipment/engines".

[2] The BlueEFFICIENCY package plus is optionally available – depending on engine, weight variant and type of registration.

[3] Trailer towing is not possible with BlueEFFICIENCY package Plus.

[4] Sprinter Panel Van 214/314 CDI with BlueEFFICIENCY package plus in combination with 6-speed manual transmission and commercial vehicle registration (N1). Fuel consumption urban/extra-urban/combined: 7.7/6.5-6.4/7.0-6.9l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 182–180 g/km[*]. The actual fuel economy numbers are dependent, among other things, on the vehicle weight and equipment chosen.
