How far can I go in the EQC?

With the EQC you need have no worries whatsoever about the range. Thanks to the large high-voltage battery with a usable energy content of 80 kWh (WTLP), it achieves an electric range of up to 421.0 - 462.0 km according to WTLP*. This suffices for many everyday journeys and also covers the route to work and back for many people. And should you have to charge after all on occasion, then the EQC is fitted with many technologies so that you need not worry at all about planning. A useful feature here is the Active Range Monitoring and Navigation with Electric Intelligence.

But the EQC does not leave you in the lurch here, either: with the aid of the Max Range drive program you can maximise the electric range. Via a pressure point in the haptic accelerator pedal it helps you to find the optimum and most efficient travelling speed, taking into account the respective traffic situation and the selected navigation destination.

*The route calculator serves as information and only provides estimated values, as not all external factors are taken into account (e.g. driving profile, current traffic and weather conditions, age and condition of the battery, vehicle configuration, etc.) that have an influence on the range and charging time of the battery electric vehicle. The range was determined on the basis of Regulation (EC) 692/2008 and a total range of 445 km. For the calculation of the charging time, the vehicle-specific max. DC charging speed is assumed. When planning a route, the map will preferentially show fast charging stations, which may also be below the max. DC charging capacity and which must therefore be assumed to have a longer charging time. Charging time: Min. charging time: approx. 45 mins for 10-80% Minimum charging time of 10 to 80% under optimum conditions at DC charging station with a supply voltage of 400 volts, 300 A; the charging time can vary depending on diverse factors such as e.g. ambient and battery temperature and due to the use of additional auxiliary consumers such as e.g. heating. Charging capacity: 110 kW Maximum peak charging capacity at DC charging station with a supply voltage of 400 volts, 300 A; the maximum charging capacity is dependent on diverse factors such as, e.g. ambient and battery temperature and the charge status of the battery when starting to charge. The actual range, charging time, charging capacity can thus lie above or also below the value determined. An average temperature of 10 degrees was assumed.          ** The blue-coloured charging sector shows the radius within which the range lies, determined in accordance with Regulation (EC) 692/2008 for a battery capacity of 10%. If there are no charging stations in the charging sector itself, it is recommended that the last charging station before the charging sector on the route be considered for charging.

    You can charge your new EQC quickly, conveniently and safely at home via our wallboxes, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox Home and the intelligent "eBox Professional" and "eBox smart" wallboxes from innogy. The wallbox can be installed on the house, in the garage or on your carport and works with alternating current. Installing a wallbox makes high charging capacities and correspondingly shorter charging times an everyday occurrence.
    In figures: with the wallbox and a charging capacity of 11 kW you can charge the EQC up to three times faster than at a conventional socket.

    You can charge the EQC at countless public AC or DC charging stations. Using the standard charging cable with a charging capacity of 11 kW you can charge your vehicle at public charging stations (alternating current) while you are in town or at a restaurant, for example. And on longer routes you can quickly charge the EQC at the DC rapid charging stations (direct current) which are to be found at many motorway service stations, for example. Use the IONITY High-Power Charging Network, which is represented along all the main traffic routes in Europe, and also benefit from a reduced price through a partner contract.
    Activation and payment at all public charging stations is convenient via Mercedes me Charge*.

    Digital services

    The Remote & Navigation Services* pool many useful services in a single package. EQC-optimised navigation ensures you have adequate range and provides for optimal planning of necessary charging stops, for example. You can also conveniently query a lot of information such as the battery's state of charge or the remaining range via the Mercedes me App while out and about. This means you are always in the know and can go on longer journeys totally relaxed.

    * To use the services, you must register on the Mercedes me Portal and also accept the Terms of Use for the Mercedes me connect services. In addition, the respective vehicle must be paired with the user account. In order to use the Mercedes me Charge service incl. Ionity, it is also necessary to register on the Mercedes me Charge User Portal and enter the payment information.Standardised charging and billing solutions in compliance with the relevant weights and measures regulations are not currently available nationwide in Germany. In isolated cases, this may lead to discrepancies between the amount of electricity charged and the amount billed by the mobility service provider, for example.       • Real electric range

        Why is the real electric range often less than specified?

        The electric range varies depending on individual driving behaviour, the route profile and environmental factors. You can travel on electric power further if you use ECO Assist to drive with foresight and take advantage of the recuperation and/or gliding function. Auxiliary equipment such as seat heating or the climate control system also has an impact on range.

      • AC and DC charging technology

        What is the difference between AC and DC charging technology?

        Basically, the batteries of electrified vehicles can only be charged with direct current (DC). However, all household sockets, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, the innogy eBox professional, the innogy eBox smart and most public charging stations supply alternating current (AC), as do "high-voltage sockets". To make charging possible, vehicles are equipped with an on-board charger – an AC/DC rectifier. It converts the alternating current into the required direct current. Charging capacities of 2.3 kW to 11 kW are possible – depending on the AC source.

      • Environmental friendliness

        How environmentally friendly are electric cars really?

        How environmentally friendly the vehicle is used depends greatly on your driving and charging behaviour. Among other things, the electricity you charge the vehicle with also plays a significant role, i.e.: is it actually being charged with "green" electricity or an energy mix? Many public charging stations are supplied with green electricity, and a green electricity contract for domestic users is often only a few clicks away.
