Be it in multi-storeys, supermarket car parks or even at the side of the road. These public charging stations are usually AC charging stations (alternating current) with charging capacities of up to 22kW, where you can charge your vehicle while parked.
On long-distance journeys, you benefit from a comprehensive charging network at service stations and motorway parking areas - this includes e.g. the charging stations from IONITY. At these fast-charging stations, you will find charging capacities of up to 350 kW and can thus charge your vehicle during your breaks within a very short time, provided your vehicle supports the function.
Via the Mercedes me app or the onboard MBUX, you can display which public charging stations are located in your vicinity or at your destination. At the same time, you will receive important information on topics such as the availability of charging stations, charging power, costs or plug type.

With Mercedes me Charge, you get access to one of the largest charging networks across Europe with just one contract, with charging stations located in the city, at shopping centres, hotels or service stations, for example. The Mercedes me app shows in advance the exact position, current availability and price (depending on the tariff selected) at the selected charging station. This information is also accessible via the onboard MBUX, and is used by the navigation with Electric Intelligence to calculate a comfortable and time-efficient route including charging stops for fully electric vehicles. At the charging station, authentication takes place via the display in MBUX, the Mercedes me app, the Mercedes me Charge charging card, or if available for your vehicle via Plug & Charge. Payment and billing of your charging stops is handled automatically via Mercedes me Charge<p>Mercedes me Charge is a service provided by Digital Charging Solutions GmbH.</p> using the data you have stored.
In selected models, authentication via Plug & Charge is now also available. The charging process starts directly when the charging cable is plugged in, no further authentication by the customer is necessary. Communication between the vehicle and the charging station takes place directly via the charging cable.

As a new car customer of an all-electric Mercedes EQ, you enjoy the benefits of the L tariff for one year free of charge, as the monthly basic fee of €17.90 is waived for you in the first year from initial activation. For new car buyers of a Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrid, the monthly basic fee of tariff M is waived in the first year.

Navigation with Electric Intelligence lets you relax as it takes you to your destination. The system takes into account factors such as charge level, weather and traffic situation to calculate the best route - including stops for charging, if necessary.
Wherever possible, it schedules the use of fast-charging stations in order to keep the necessary charging stops as short as possible. In addition, the battery is prepared for arrival at the scheduled charging station so that the charging process can take place under the best possible conditions. When you reach the charging station, you are given specific details on how long the charging process will take and notified via the Mercedes me App as soon as the charge level is sufficient for you to continue your journey - thus ensuring that you reach your destination as quickly as possible. If the traffic situation or your driving style changes on the road, the scheduling of charging stops is automatically adjusted. So you are always relaxed when you arrive at your destination.

The way Green Charging works is relatively simple: for a certain period of time, the exact amount of electricity charged via Mercedes me Charge is analysed. Subsequently, the defined quantity is balanced with high-quality green electricity guarantees of origin.
A guarantee of origin thus verifiably certifies the origin of the energy and serves as a kind of birth certificate for electricity from renewable energies. In order to additionally enable an environmental benefit, the certificates of origin fulfil further additional conditions, which are stipulated in the form of a green electricity label and are geared towards an increased expansion of renewable energy plants.
