Mercedes-Benz is Fleet Transport 'Irish Fleet Van Brand of the Year' 2021

The commercial vehicles division of Mercedes-Benz in Ireland had reason to celebrate at this year’s annual Fleet Transport Awards when it was honoured with the ‘Irish Fleet Van Brand of the Year’ Award 2021.

Following a judging process which included van distributor entries, coupled with interviews amongst fleet operators running multi brand vehicles, this was the first time the accolade has been awarded.

Departing from its traditional gala dinner banquet, due to Covid-19 restrictions, this year’s Fleet Transport Awards took the form of a virtual event, hosted by RTE Radio’s Shay Byrne and streamed live through a number of online channels.

Accepting the award, Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager in Ireland, Fergus Conheady said that he was ‘proud to accept the award on behalf of the entire Mercedes-Benz organisation’, adding: “We congratulate and thank members of the Fleet team and the organisers for finding a means, during such challenging times, to continue with an event that remains one of the highlights of the commercial vehicle industry’s calendar.”
