The flashing brake lamps are activated at a speed of more than 50 km/h. If the vehicle comes to a stop from a speed greater than 70 km/h after braking hard, the hazard warning lights are switched on automatically. They are automatically switched off again as soon as the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h.
